General Terms & Conditions

We will only secure your booking on proof of payment received by us.

Check-in time from 14H00, check-out time 10H00 weekdays and 11h00 weekends

1. Confirmation of Booking

A booking can be made with 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre in the following ways:

Call us on +27 11 726 1533; or
Click the "Book Now" Button at the top right hand corner of the website.

In order to confirm your booking you must also make all payments to us in accordance with clause 2 below.

On receipt of your booking and all appropriate payments, we will issue you with a confirmation/invoice. This will show the balance to be paid and the date by which it is due. At this point your binding contract will come into existence. Please check this invoice carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the confirmation or any other document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later.

2. Payment

A deposit of 50% per person must be paid at the time of booking. The balance of your break must be paid prior to departure. Bookings made less than one calendar month before accommodation is required must be paid in full at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.

3. Cancellation of Bookings / Failure of Arrival

C Failure of the customer to arrive, or cancellations made 0 to 7 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100% of the pre-payment.

Cancellations made 8 to 28 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 50% of the deposit or 25% of the booking quote value, whichever the greater.

7th Street Guesthouse will refund full deposit less 10% if cancellations are made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date. On receipt of a written instruction to cancel the reservation, including bank details, 7th Street Guesthouse will refund the applicable amount less 10% admin fees. 7th Street Guesthouse levies a 10% administration fee on any refunds processed. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R250 charge will be levied.

4. Pricing

Normal accommodation consists of one night's bed and breakfast . Prices are based on twin occupancy of rooms and are subject to change. Single room supplements may apply.

We reserve the right to change accommodation prices depending upon the season that the accommodation is required. This may also apply to school holiday periods, public holidays and school terms. Any price changes will be clearly advised to you at the time of booking. Any subsequent reduction in prices due to special offers will not apply to confirmed bookings.

5. Complaints

If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your break with us, please inform us as soon as possible, preferably before you check out. All verbal complaints must be put in writing. If the matter cannot be rectified at the time, you must notify us in writing within two weeks of completion of your break. If you fail to follow this procedure, this may affect your entitlement to claim compensation where this would or may otherwise have been appropriate.

6. Methods of payments

We accept Visa and Master Credit Cards, also recognized Debit Cards and Cash. You can also do an electronic transfer (EFT) to the account detailed in section 2. Cheques are not accepted.

7. Behaviour

When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to the hotel or other supplier. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party's full legal costs) as a result of your actions.

We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we or the supplier of the service in question are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the break of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the hotel or other service. We nor the supplier will have any further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

8. Special request for medical problems

If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability that may affect your break, please tell us before you confirm your booking. In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking.

9. Inclement weather policy

Inclement weather is inevitable during the course of the year which may affect the use of 7th Street Guest House and Conference facilities. This will not be the basis of any refunds of accommodation fees.

10. Changes and cancellations by us

Occasionally, we have to make changes to and correct errors on our website or in any future brochures and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel confirmed bookings. Whilst we always endeavor to avoid changes and cancellations, we reserve the right to do so.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

Your contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by South African law. You agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises out of or in connection with this contract or your break will be dealt with in the courts or any part of the SA in which you live. If you live outside the South Africa you will be required to attend a South African court.

12. Website usage

Your use of this website is treated as confirmation that you have understood and agreed to be bound by all of these terms and conditions. Use of this web site is prohibited unless you agree to these Terms and Conditions. You must not use this website if you have not read these terms and conditions.

7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre, their clients, associate companies and any sub-agents give notice to anyone visiting this website that, your use is subject to the terms and conditions as set out below. You are reminded that the content of the site may amended from time to time by Sheilan House.

This site is the property of 7th Street Guest House and Conference facilities.

12.2 Copyright, Trademark and Intellectual Property Rights

The contents of the pages of this site belong to 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre. You may not reproduce a permanent copy of this, or any part of this, site. You may not reproduce all or any part of it into any other site, publication or other known mediums. You must however, acknowledge 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre web page as source of the material. You must also include such acknowledgement and 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre address (www.7thstreet.co.za) to all material where prior permission to re-publish has been obtained from the 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre owners.

Temporary copies of the contents of this site may be printed, displayed, or downloaded onto your own computer, but only for your own non-commercial use.

Due to the nature of the Internet, no guarantee is given of uninterrupted or error free access to this site or the information-transactions conducted through it and 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre shall not be liable for any failure in processing your details due to Internet errors, site unavailability, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre makes no warranty that this site is free from errors, defects or viruses.

Whilst 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre and its associated companies have no obligation to update this site, 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre uses all reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on this website is complete, accurate and up-to-date, no representations or warranties are made (express or implied) as to the accuracy or completeness of such information.

We may, at our sole discretion, terminate, change or suspend any part of our site, including any content, features or hours of availability.

Consequently, this Site is provided "AS IS", without a warranty of any kind.

If any part of this Agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, it will be severed from the rest of this Agreement so that it is ineffective to the extent that it shall not affect the validity of the balance of the Agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.

We reserve the right to change the content of this site (including the terms and conditions) at any time. Therefore, it is your responsibility to visit this page of the site on a regular basis to ascertain whether any amendments have been made. If you do not agree to amendments made, you should immediately stop using the site.

Whilst we take every care to ensure that the standard of this site remains high and to maintain the continuity of it, we do not accept any ongoing obligation or responsibility to operate this site (or any particular part of it). If any part of our terms and conditions is deemed to be unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

12.5 Data Protection

7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre respect and value the security and privacy of those of its contacts. 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre follows strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information in order to prevent unauthorized access. Personal Data is held on our administration database either because of work we have undertaken or are currently engaged in. You will not however, receive any unwanted material through the post.

In accordance with your rights you may request the amendment of the personal information held or to cease receiving requested direct marketing materials.

7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre does not sell, rent or deal in the personal information we hold. Information may, in the ordinary course of business, move between 7th Street Guest House and Conference Centre, its associated companies and to our contractors.
